Place Vendôme is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful architectural sites in Paris. Built on the initiative of Louvois, chief steward of buildings under Louis XIV, its construction began in 1686.

Just like Versailles, Place Vendôme bears witness to one of French history's most glorious periods: the reign of Louis XIV.
